Panax Ginseng Root
Latin Name: Panax ginseng
Pharmacopeial Name: Ginseng radix
Other Names: Asian Ginseng, Chinese ginseng, Korean ginseng, true ginseng
Panax Ginseng is a slow-growing perennial herb native to the mountain forests of northeastern China, Korea, and the far eastern regions of the Russian Federation. In China, the natural range for ginseng extends from Hebei Province to the three northeastern provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang.
